Photography Tips, Weddings

Essex wedding photographerWedding is a beautiful occasion that happens only once with that right partner. Everybody wants a good record of their weddings in their albums, but some are too embarrassed and disappointed to print theirs! Find out here why.

Amateur Photographers

If you want to choose a good Essex wedding photographer, make sure that person is not just an amateur and waste your bucks on him.

‘Can you work tomorrow?’

Not investing your time in looking will result in making choices that go with either the easiest or the cheapest. Don’t do this by looking for your photographer months before, so you’ll have more time to research and look around.

Personal Interest

What was the first he talks about when meeting you? Does he continuously talk about prices, packages and the likes? Make sure that your photographer is someone that will listen to your request and story behind your wedding first before getting obsessed over prices.

Venue

Did your photographer visit the venue before the actual wedding take place? Does he have such a habit? A photographer that is careful with preparing for your wedding is commendable and should be your choice.

Photojournalist knowledge

What can the photographer say about making a storybook album out of your wedding? Is he just repeating the answers that every other photographers say? He/she should be able to put into words how he define his own photojournalism.

Don’t let anything but quality affect you

We can all have our biases. Just because the website of the studio or photographer looks exceptionally good, does not mean that the pictures posted there are what you will get. Find out more about the pictures he or she takes to get a hang of his or her style. If it’s a studio, make a time to visit. If he or she does not have a studio, ask for portfolios and other albums that he had worked on before.

Do not immediately assume male to be better than female; you could be missing your chance to get a unique, quality album that other male photographers cannot show. Also, she can take shots of brides during their dressing time.

Don’t leave it to a family member with ‘interest in photography to do it’

Letting one of your relative to do it might seem to be easier and even cheaper to looking for a professional one. But a relative is also a guest, you cannot expect or even ask (or order) him around to take these pictures and to go around the party all the time and miss the enjoyment. Unless, you are planning to help him or her with portfolios.

Guarantee not guaranteed

Does the photographer offer any guarantees? In case the pictures do not turn out to your liking, ask for any guarantee, so he or she can edit or even pay you back the money for being unsatisfying. Though, we all hope that this won’t be necessary since it is impossible to redo the wedding party again.

These are 8 things for couples out there to remember when choosing an Essex wedding photographer. It might not be easy, but because your wedding album is something that lasts till you’re old, you should pay more attention in choosing your photographer.
